Karyn Kiplinger is lost. Her life holds no joy; she has no feelings and no memories. While out looking for dinner she notices a hypnotist's shop in her neighborhood — funny thing,  she doesn't recall it being there before. Upon entering the shop she is greeted by a wonderful, kind woman who welcomes her with tea, scones and conversation. Things seem a bit off, but perhaps this woman can help her find some answers. If not, Karyn may lose her mind altogether. Things would be different if she could find William, her first love. A master guitarist, he left her to continue his career in Europe.

Hold on to your hats! Ms. Jennings has penned a wild ride with “Apart”. Readers are in for a suspenseful story, as Karyn attempts to figure out where her life went haywire. The first third of the book feels a bit jumbled, but all is revealed in good time. Highly detailed descriptions provide readers a window into Karyn's story and allow them to share her joy, sadness and agony. There is a graphic ‘fight’ scene and encounters with a truly disturbed man.  These characters and their experiences will stay with the reader long after the book is finished. “Apart” will entice readers to keep Ms. Jennings on their radar for future works!
