Cian DeMarco has lived for over two hundred years. While traveling from Europe he and his brother were turned into vampires by a mysterious beauty. Now, located in San Francisco, Cian plays rock ’n’ roll all night. Passing a restaurant one evening he sets his eyes on Magdalena. Once he meets her, giving her up is impossible.

“Tempted by a Vampire” is a sexy, "love at first bite" story. One in which the vamp sees human girl, girl sees sexy vamp who is the lead singer in a band called none other than the “Lost Boys”. Readers are given the “she’s my soul mate” reasoning for the attraction but little emotion or dimension to the characters except for the sex they are having.

There are two antagonists working together: Magdalena’s shunned boyfriend (who is suddenly exposed as a werewolf) and Jewels, the vamps' maker. At the end of the story, Jewels pops up with a wicked plan and draws Cian into the scheme, but with no explanation as to how Cian can bring Jewels’ plan to fruition. Dialogue is sometimes stiff with endless sentences start with “I” all in a row: I have, I huffed, I yanked, and I took. New creative heights needed to be explored so a niche could be carved in the overflowing paranormal genre but “Tempted by a Vampire” just repeats a story that’s been written ten-fold.  Still, readers who crave an easy get-away with a  paranormal ending can easily bite into this story to find their favorite tropes.
