Genre:

Jill Jeffery wishes for only two things:  her fashion design business to succeed, and to become a board member for the charity Like No Other. Her plans are disrupted, however, when she meets a homeless man named Phil — and is taunted by an ex into using him as part of a bet, in order to benefit the charity.  When an exposé by "Eagle Eye" hits the newspaper, detailing her role in the bet, she is ashamed of herself for using Phil in such a humiliating way and determined to find him. Now, Jill must not only balance her business and the charity, but a reporter shadowing her work puts her reputation, and her heart, at risk. Jill is in for the ride of her life!

Told from two different points of view, this book gives readers a unique perspective inside the minds of the characters. With the main characters having such distinct and interesting personalities, readers can easily connect and identify with them. Their behaviors, however, are not always fitting to the situation, which could leave readers frustrated with their actions. While overall "Eagle Eye" is an entertaining read, certain parts of the story feel unnecessary and hurt the story’s flow. Instead of adding to the narrative, some sections are more like filler, giving readers unnecessary background information. Despite this, readers will truly enjoy Jill’s spunky nature and cheer her on as she navigates life in the Big Apple. In addition, with a love story as complicated as this one readers will not be able to put the book down.
