Genre:
Young Adult

PARANORMAL:  Young Maria Graziana Kelly has discovered a lot about herself in the past year. First, she is a werewolf and sole heir to Greyback Pack, Hounds of God. Secondly, she is a dreamwalker. Thirdly, dark witches want to take control of the world around her. All of this before she turns sixteen! She is expected to follow the rules of a society she is just now learning of and as Rolf Kelly’s heir, she is held to a higher standard than others - a standard she fights fiercely, being raised as an independent American teen. Her betrothed leaves her behind when she insists she does not wish to marry him, even though she is very much in love with him. Her rebellious streak is strong and will get her into a lot of trouble, if she isn’t careful.

The premise of this novel has a large amount of potential: a young girl, suddenly drawn into a lifestyle that is strict and rigid, who wants to buck authority. Good idea! Unfortunately it is burdened with many redundant descriptions and details for the first half of the book. The second half of the story is heavy on action and this is when the book takes on a life of its own and draws the reader deeply into the character and her story. This is Grazi’s story, continuing from the previous books, but capable of standing alone.
