Bindweed Highway (The Juniper Wars Book 4)

In the year 2058, there is the Sino-American War. The men have almost been wiped out by the war or through the Sterility Epidemic.  Cavatica, Irene and Sharlotte are sisters traveling through a dangerous area known as Juniper. They are currently trying to get back Pilate and Micaiah who have been kidnapped. However, there is a greater mission on top of it. Cavatica carries the cure for the Sterility Epidemic. They are hoping they can get help from June Mai Angel, who is an outlaw, but they come across a new breed of super soldiers that will do anything to stop them. There is danger at every turn and they don’t know who they can trust. How will they survive, let alone save mankind?

This book kicks off with nonstop action! It is filled with unique and strong female characters and amazing battle sequences. Unfortunately, since this book jumps right into the action, it fails to go into detail about what is happening or why. For those who haven’t read the previous books in the series, this book can be difficult to follow. Also, throughout the narration of the story, the subject noun is often dropped from the beginning of the sentence which can be distracting to read. Since the story is from the main character’s point of view, the character often reiterates information which slows the pace from time to time. However, this post-apocalyptic world is very unique! Be prepared to be on the edge of your seat while reading this action-filled story!
