Filled with vengeance, she takes matters into her own hands.  This day changes everything about how she views the Family. She will stop at nothing to secure her freedom. The only problem is leaving the ones she holds dear. 

This book sparks emotion with its suspense and heartbreak! Readers’ hearts will go out to Aless as she is used and turned into a deadly assassin, yet she is relatable as she is also a teenager trying to figure out what her life will hold. Although, there seem to be details from the first book in the series that would be useful to know before reading this book, and it ends on a cliffhanger as well.  The pacing is a little uneven, as the first half is filled with non-stop action and suspense and then pacing slows down. However, the themes of grief, mental health and freedom really dive deep and give more of a connection to the characters. Overall, an engaging book that will make readers want to immediately pick up the next book in the series!
