Suspense-Thriller

Detective “Duke” Wayne has been stuck working at his desk at LAPD for too long. He is trying his hardest to find a way to start working back out in the field but has so far been unsuccessful. Until one day, his Captain asks him to do a Field Investigation Report on what is believed to be an accidental death by bees. After taking a look at the scene, things may be more sinister than he ever could have imagined. Now the Detective must work with Kelso Bagley, a Special Agent with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services, to attempt to uncover the truth of what’s happened. But can they solve the mystery before anyone else gets hurt or even killed?

“Bee Conspiracy” is a very unique story, and it is very apparent that there was a lot of research done in order to present distinctive ideas and concepts throughout it. While the story’s pacing is rather slow, the general ideas are great, and readers have probably never read anything quite like this before. The beginning of the story is very much an attention grabber and will pull readers in immediately. The characters are not fleshed out as well as they could have been, which may leave readers wanting more backstory on them. But overall, this story is out of the ordinary in terms of thriller novels, and the way that the murders take place. With a little bit of romance that blends nicely with the mystery and science, readers will be all abuzz about this thriller!
