Zorida Grey is trying to save her best friend who is being held hostage in a haunted castle in Scotland by Logan witches. She only has her friend, Shae Logan, and her boyfriend, Al for help. There is only one thing she can do: bring in something the Logan witches fear, Jock. Her problem is that Jock has not been seen in several centuries. With Jock in some trouble and Al being his usual over-protective self, Zorida finds herself in a sticky situation. Will she be able to get her friend away from the Logan witches and make a decision between the two men promising her very different lives.

To say this book is a wild ride would be an understatement. There's so much happening, and there is a great story intertwined. Zorida Grey wants to help her friend but finds herself in a sticky love triangle. The fast-moving plot is moved along by the many different characters in this book, including aA Scottish wizard, a voodoo priestess and pirates. There are a few moments in the book that are laugh-out-loud funny and others filled with emotion. Readers will turn the pages quickly as they go through this book, not only for the well-developed plot, but to find out what happens with Zorida. Sorchia DuBois has written a story that will not be forgotten and that readers may go back to again and again.
