Bound by Blood (Crescent City Wolf Pack Book 3)

Genre:
Paranormal

Alexis Gentry’s life has not been an easy one. Abandoned as a child, she discovered her true nature without anyone to guide her through the most difficult part of her life. Alone and vulnerable, she was forced to make choices that have put her own the wrong side of both human and pack law.  Now finally, she has the support of her sister and someone else, if she can bring herself to trust him.

The man in question is Bryce Samuels, her sister’s ex-partner on the local police force.  For the first time, Alexis feels safe enough with Bryce to settle down and have a normal live.  Her past in the form of a murderous ex-boyfriend jeopardizes her dreams.  Alexis must now find the strength to let those who love her saver her from danger.

“Bound by Blood” has well-developed main characters whose passion for each other is exciting and adds to the progression of the story arc in a great way.  Ms. Pulkinen provides needed character background organically in the story without resorting to needless exposition.  The story line is slow in a few places, which interrupts the flow of the story.  Despite this, the story regains its momentum and the reader thoroughly enjoys the interplay between the two main characters as they overcome many obstacles to allow their love to flourish. Although “Bound by Blood” is a part of a series, it reads well as a stand-alone story.
