Birthright (Ivy Granger, Psychic Detective Book 4)

SUSPENSE/THRILLER:  Ivy Granger's story continues in “Birthright”. She is determined to find her father after she comes back from the dead. Her boyfriend, Ceff, and his sidekick Torn, risk their lives to travel to the realm of the Wisp court in order to unlock whatever is hidden behind the key left to Ivy by her father. The trio encounters all sorts of strange and horrible creatures on their way, but they are able to prevail. Ivy begins to think that maybe dodging sidhe assassins isn’t as bad as she thought, but when the group reaches the Wisp court, they discover that blood ties just might be the end of the line. Will Ivy and the team make it out of Faerie alive or will they plunge into the black hole of the abyss?

E.J Stevens has created a world of sci-fi/paranormal creatures and a storyline that is wholly unique. “Birthright (Ivy Granger, Psychic Detective Book 4)” is an interesting mix of fantasy and fiction. The only drawback to the story is that it is not a standalone book. The background of the characters may have readers lost and confused if they are not familiar with E.J. Stevens’s fantasy world. The series needs to be read in the correct order so that the reader might understand what is happening to the characters. There are so many twists and turns in the story that the readers will be along for a thought-provoking ride. Ms. Stevens has added another curious addition to the “Psychic Detective” series.
