The Culling

HORROR/DYSTOPIAN:  In a world where demons possess the majority of the population, Elders have been sent to create safety zones for the humans who remain. Each zone sends youngsters between the age of six and twenty to Nirvana to become the Reclaimed. Now it is the turn of Rosemary Zone to send their reclaimed. Elder Michelle has prepared the Reclaimed as best she can. However, on the way, the Reclaimed begin disappearing. It becomes apparent that this journey isn't what it was meant to be. The question is, what will happen when they finally reach Nirvana?

Suffice to say that Sian B. Claven has written a horror worthy of the genre! There are so many twists and turns in this book that readers’ heads may well spin three hundred and sixty degrees. There are so many tense moments that some may very well sleep with the light on for several days afterwards. The plot is fascinating and unique, although there is a small hint of the “Hunger Games” with regards to the zones sending their youngsters to Nirvana. However, that's where the similarity ends. With demons, fear and absolute terror, it's safe to say that this book is not for the faint of heart. The many twists will keep readers on their toes and thoroughly engaged throughout the story. Readers will definitely want to see what else this author has written and what’s planned for the future.
