WESTERN:  Olivia Palmer has lived a sheltered life in a home for unwanted children. When the owner of the home is dying, Olivia is told that she must find a husband in a newspaper advertisement. Olivia chooses as best she can; however, fate steps in and she finds her plans in pieces. Chance Garrison finds himself in a difficult situation when his brother passes away. In order to get his life back on track, he agrees to enter into his brother's marriage contract. All he has to do is prevent his new bride from opening a school. Will they realize that if they work together they will achieve their dreams, or are they doomed to fail?

“Olivia's Obligation” is one of those reads that people will love. The characters are relatable and dynamic.  Some aspects of the story moved slowly which was a little frustrating and disrupted the reading flow. Despite this, there is a desire for both characters to come to their senses and work out the issues they are having. Peggy McKenzie has written a very sweet and engaging historical romance that readers will enjoy and is an excellent addition to the Alphabet Mail-Order Brides series. Fans of historical fiction will feel right at home with this novel that also works as a standalone. An awesome novel for those fall nights wrapped in a blanket.
