Preston Knight has loved being a vampire since the very moment he was turned. Now a rock star, everything he’d ever wanted was now in reach… except for the one woman he cares for the most. Lily Grey’s thoughts on being a vampire differ greatly from Preston’s. Changed against her will and forced to be a doting wife to the monster who changed her, she works as a drug peddler on the streets of San Francisco. All she’s ever wanted was a family, so she stays, despite her heart yearning for another who will give her true happiness. When she finally gives in to that desire, an explosion of secrets occurs that will change the future of the vampire world forever.

“Possessed by a Vampire” is an exciting romp in the world of vampires! Full of enough twists and turns to keep readers on their toes, and two strong leads that will keep them drawn in. Lily and Preston both have intriguing back stories that make them compelling. Together, they sizzle in a delightful way that makes the romance real. Ms. Griscom has created a masterful character-driven paranormal romance in her latest installment of the Immortal Hearts of San Francisco series. “Possessed by a Vampire” can be read as a standalone, as all necessary information is recapped well. However, the best experience will come from reading the other books beforehand.

Mr. York gives a great performance as Preston. His characterizations are excellent, and the emotions he presents are strong. Ms. Gilland has a more relaxed performance. While her voicing of the characters isn’t as diverse, she has a lot of passion in her voice.

This is a great book for lovers of sultry, steamy urban fantasy novels, with large casts of characters.
