What sort of books do you like to read? Classics? Best sellers? Mysteries? Thrillers?  A ‘Brand name’ author? Non-fiction? Military? Historical? Poetry? How about graphic novels? The list of reading material is as far-reaching as the sands on a beach. In fact, when it comes to reading, the world is your oyster.  So what about the younger readers within your circle?

When fans ask what inspired me to write my comic murder mysteries, I have to confess.

Turn on your TV and you’ll find at least a dozen shows about law enforcement of some sort—from the alphabet soups of “CSI” and “NCIS” to age-old classics like “Colombo” or “Kojak,” crime shows have been a staple of entertainment for nearly as long as television has existed.
