Bad Lies

Genre:
Suspense-Thriller

When Sophie goes to Italy for a golf tournament, she thinks that her only concern will be working hard to win the tournament. Little does she know that she is going to become involved in a lot more. Just what she needs after getting over bankruptcy, a divorce and a taste for gambling. As a favor to his father, ex-pro golfer Jack Walker volunteers to caddy for Sophie during the tournament. His ulterior motive is that as a geologist, he can find caves for NATO to monitor terrorist activity. Both are thrust into a dangerous game when someone is determined that Sophie is to win the game and Jack doesn't get his work done for NATO.

From the first page, this book delivers a fast-paced, page-turning suspenseful romance that readers will adore! There's a little tension and romantic jibing from the moment Sophie and Jack meet, which adds to the quirky yet serious mood this book sets. As the story unfolds, readers are thrown into a thrilling golf game and some very beautifully described Italian geography. The other positive aspect is that readers will not have to be knowledgeable in golf to understand what's going on, which adds to the charm of the book. Ms. Anderson has put together a book that both sports and suspense-romance readers can enjoy — and it is a real page-turner to boot!
