Officer Blake Herro agreed to go undercover in the Mob with the full understanding of the risks. However, when he makes a mistake and an innocent woman becomes their target, he’s determined to protect her at all costs. When the mob targets Dr. Dani Hart, her life is turned upside down, but she didn’t figure on falling in love with Blake despite the danger all around her. Will they survive and have a happy ending, or will the Mob make good on their threat? 

“30 Seconds” is a fast paced, unique tale full of twists that are coiled for an adrenaline rush!  In this contemporary, suspenseful romance, Dani is a vivid character - from her medical books and cedar chest to her strength in running - and is struggling to adjust to the sudden arrangement of having her life protected by Blake 24/7.  However, Blake’s development as the leading man is somewhat unclear and makes one wonder about his motives and loyalties.  In addition, the protection duty may appear somewhat contrived but does not detract from the author’s goal. While readers may be confused by what Blake is hiding, the author changes directions to give them an unexpected revelation.  The story flows smoothly and will keep readers on their toes while cheering for Dani and Blake to stay alive.  The author deserves kudos for this brief, romantic, suspenseful tale.
