Sawyer Barrett is the son of the god Odin but raised as a hunter of monsters. When he kills a wolf-shifter child of the Storm Pack while in a berserker rage, he pledges to repay those he has wronged even with his own life. Yet, enemies stalk the pack and hunters on all sides. Shape-changing shamans, ancient Ironwood witches, and the Norse Fates seek to destroy Odin’s son, and bring about Ragnarok, forcing Sawyer to find an unlikely ally. Logan Koenig — son of Loki, and wolf shifter himself, does not care for Sawyer. Fortunately, he hates Ironwood witches more.  Logan has plenty of secrets to keep and is never certain what his father has in store, but he knows he wants to protect the Storm Pack, and if that means a teaming up with Sawyer in a last-ditch effort to save the pack he’s willing to sacrifice anything.

A dramatic addition to the “Loki’s Wolves” series, “Fragile Gods” picks up shortly after the previous book left off, and is an action-packed, emotion-driven, Viking-lore-filled pile of goodness. Although the lore itself can be confusing at times, and the overarching plot is still full of loose ends, this individual book has smoldering romance from two sides, solid character development, a steady pace, new twists and just enough drama, betrayal, love and family to make the entire book a rollercoaster ride. While this is not Marvel’s Thor and Loki, overall, fans of Viking lore, action, and romance will enjoy this read!
