When Kate awakens from an injury, she is shocked by her vivid dreams of a past life, and even more shocked by the man standing over her! Brandon has had visions of Kate most of his life, knowing she is the love he has waited for and that their souls are destined to be together. Around his neck, he has carried a ring that belonged to Kate several generations before, when she once loved him in a former life. The moment Kate’s eyes land on Brandon, she knows he is the love of her life from a time long ago, reincarnated and destined to be with her. But enemies from their past also have followed them into their new lives and constantly threaten their love and happiness.

“Final Surrender” is a story about destined love, soulmates, and overcoming obstacles… even those from a former life. The connection between Kate and Brandon is instantaneous and soon heats up, making their bond only stronger. As book two of the series, it starts abruptly where book one left off, and finishes with little impact, leading into a third story. The story moved slowly with little happening throughout except the same thoughts and feelings repetitively, and another couple thrown in later needlessly. The dialogue felt monotone, forced and repetitive. Every character can somehow see visions or has physic powers, which feels unrealistic. There was little suspense or struggle with the two potential antagonists and a few too many editing issues.  The plot is intriguing, and the story has potential to flourish with the proper attention to detail and some editing changes.
