A Different Time (Guardians of Now #2)

TIME TRAVEL:  With a child on the way, Dusty and Dee think that everything will be smooth sailing now that they are back from the past, even though many things have changed in their new reality. However, their offspring heralds monumental changes, the Guardians are watching, and the Malveks are plotting to discover why the planet they planned to invade is no longer viable.

This story is intriguing with lots of twists and turns to keep readers guessing while the strong, compelling characters draw them into their story. Readers that have read the first book will have a better understanding of the story; those who have not will feel as though they were dropped into the middle of the story. The steady-paced plot of the story is full of suspense and romance, although is a bit confusing with all of the switching between character dialogues in different time lines and different places. Although the story ends on a major cliffhanger, readers never find a dull moment as they are kept on their toes by all of the different plots happening at once. There are quite a few twists and turns that take place, and when readers add in Dusty and Dee’s unending discovery of things that have changed in their timeline, the story keeps readers glued to the pages and engages their imagination as they wait in anticipation of what will happen next.
