This novel is an enchanting read. Six clean stories that still get the idea across that there is much romance in the air. Six men and women who fall in love against the odds. The backdrop for these stories, the 1800s, is a delightful time in our history when women chose to be mail order brides for the adventure of it or to get away from horrible circumstances. The authors beautifully wove stories of mostly maidens in distress and brought them into newer and better circumstances than what they left. Although the women are in bad situations, they also know their minds and aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty, so they can be a true helpmate for their man. A refreshing change to read something so clean and pure!
