Delighted by the Duke (Fabled Love Book 4)

REGENCY:  Miss Emma Baxter went to live with her aunt and uncle after her mother passed away and her father didn’t want her anymore. Now she discovers that her uncle has accumulated a large amount of debt and plans to give her to a disgusting baron in exchange for debt forgiveness. On their way to perform the marriage ceremony, Emma manages to get away. She hides in a carriage and is discovered by Aaron St. John, the Duke of Radcliffe. He brings her back to his home. His daughter needs a governess and Emma will do quite nicely to fill the roll. Emma and Sophia get along wonderfully, and Aaron finds himself attracted to Emma. However, danger is still lurking as her intended and uncle are still searching for her. 

Once the reader picks up this lovely novella, there is no putting it down! This love story is so tender and sweet. Emma Baxter is a wonderful main character. She is strong for trying to escape a dangerous marriage but also kind-hearted, despite her past. Aaron St. John has had his heart broken before Emma comes along. Their budding romance will leave the reader with sighs of happiness.  However, this story is very quick and predictable. Unfortunately, it needs a little more detail and development. It is nice that it is so short, but it didn’t give the reader enough time to attach to the main characters. However, fans of historical romance will absolutely love this story! Pick up this lovely romance for a quick afternoon read!
