Warwick’s Mermaid

Chloe MacGregor is an artist at heart, struggling out of a toxic relationship with an ex and all the baggage that comes with it. She’s almost settled into life without Chris when he suddenly shows up days after her restraining order expires. Prince Charming with a James Bond feel comes to her rescue.

Luke Warwick has come to Whitby on a mission. He is handsome, strong, and without warning is soon enmeshed in Chloe’s life more tightly than his BMW hugs the road. Not his intention at all. He observes the damsel in distress, and he’s left with no choice. He steps in and instinct takes over, but his problem-solving talent may have gotten him in real trouble this time.

“Warwick’s Mermaid” is a story about healing and second chances. Set in the North Yorkshire town of Whitby where readers will be pulled in by its picturesque landscape, beach cottages, and small-town feel. There are some typos and minor flaws in technique, and the pacing slows in places with some repetitive internal narrative. Overall, one can’t help rooting for Chloe and Luke to come to terms with where their relationship is heading. The prince is absolutely charmed by this mermaid in the flesh.
