Too Tempting (The Lewis Cousins #1)

Genre:
Contemporary

Gabe Lewis is a retired NFL football player who really enjoys giving back. His dream is now a reality — he has been able to create a football summer camp. Gabe’s cousins come every year at this time to help spruce things up, getting ready for the kids and counselors before they arrive; it is their annual get together. A woman arrives at camp a week early, and alone to boot. Gabe is immediately suspicious of her intentions, but also immediately attracted  to her.

Zoe is the early arrival and appears harmless enough. She has agreed to chaperone her nephew at camp for her sister, but has gotten her dates wrong.  Zoe sees this as an opportunity to work on her book without outside interruptions. However, the Lewis family may not trust her intentions.

Two famous people trying to hold on to their anonymity — is it deception or caution? Ms. Lopez has a wonderful kick off to her Lewis Cousin series with “Too Tempting”. The cast of characters are a very likable bunch and the family ties and protective nature are undeniable. The twist in the plot is quite a surprise and the situation of two famous people trying to go unnoticed, then exploited by Zoe’s nephew, is just the right punch to the plot. Some of the relations to the new ‘family’ scenario seem a bit clumsy or unrealistic, but no matter — "Too Tempting" will keep readers engaged to the end, and leave them wanting more from the Lewis clan!
