Spencer Elliott really wants the Big Beautiful Love her parents always talk about, but so far none of the men she’s dated have inspired more than faint interest. Abandoned on a highway during a heat wave after a disastrous date, Spencer stumbles along in search of help and finds herself at Stoney’s gate and finds not only water but possibly the big love she’s always wanted. Stoney almost doesn’t believe the angel on his doorstep is real, until she nearly passes out. Suffering from PTSD, and struggling to find his footing in the civilian world after a tour overseas changes his life drastically, the silent man doesn’t know what to do with the beautiful woman who makes him feel again, but his past is full of ghosts and his ex is far from being as behind him as he’d like. Can Stoney find a way to ask Spencer to stay? Or will their chance meeting before the storm end with the rain.

A solid contemporary romance, “Stone Silence” has all the features of a winner of a clean romance. Full of depth, drama, pure emotion, and building romance, the conflict around Stoney’s Ex has unexpected twists and will leave the reader hoping for more of her story. The steady pace, simple characters, and excellent plot all come together to make things work, taking the age-old boy meets girl romance to its full potential. Lovers of contemporary romance, military heroes with scars and happy endings, will definitely want to give this book a look.
