WESTERN:  A fabulous contemporary romance "Rogue's Son" introduces us to Kit Kendall.  The owner of Sage Brush, a struggling West Texas bed and breakfast ranch, Kit has been trying to make ends meet since her father lost a bet to his neighbours, the Dawsons. When Sam Dawson returns to right the wrongs done by his father in his will, he will face quite a few challenges trying to get Kit to forgive and cooperate before the time runs out, and they both lose.

In this well-balanced romance and western romp, Flynn has created a great cast of characters, both good and bad, with defining personalities and depth. The emotion and drive behind Kit and Sam suck the reader in so that one’s emotions follow the same roller coaster until its sigh-worthy conclusion. The truth about what Sam is trying to do is surprising, and explains a lot of the pushiness Sam exhibits when talking to Kit, who gives just as good as she gets. The side characters round out the story in an entertaining way and help guide the romance between Kit and Sam, giving a “Much Ado About Nothing” feel to it.

Readers who enjoy contemporary romance with a fiery and determined heroine, a dashing and caring hero, both with secrets and afraid to love again, should put this book on the top of their to-read lists. It’ll be worth the read!
