Reeling

The next installment in the River Sigh B&B series brings together Mia Grant, a teen pop-star searching for healing and Gray, a hermit hiding from the heartache and pain of life.  When Mia first steps foot onto the property of River Sigh, anxiety grips her tightly, but she is determined to break its ties and find a way to live life once more.  In need of the cash job, Gray begrudgingly accepts the job of teaching Mia self-defense, never expecting Mia to break through his tough façade.  The more time the two spend together, both Mia and Gray begin to wonder if it is possible to start new and if love can heal all wounds.

“Reeling” is a not just a story of two people finding love again but also about the healing power of friendship.  Anyone who has ever dealt with or is dealing with anxiety can relate to Mia’s hard journey and root for her every time she takes a step forward.  Although Gray is endearing and his past will draw the reader to him, his story line is slightly overdone and predictable, not leaving a whole lot of mystery for the reader.  The only other complaint in an otherwise endearing story is there is simply not enough.  From the beautiful Canadian setting to the heart-warming characters, Ms. Bishop weaves a great story one will want to sink into on a cold winter’s night!
