Georgie Daniels is content to remain secluded in her cottage near her father's lighthouse. With the bank repossessing her home and putting it up for auction soon, however, her days of hiding are numbered. Colby Ford moves to Salt Cliffs after retiring from the Navy, and is searching for the perfect location for his sailing school. The lighthouse would be perfect, but its current occupant with her Rapunzel-long hair stirs his interest. A search for a can of paint brings Colby and Georgie together, but as the auction grows closer, the tentative bond between Colby and Georgie is tested. Can a storm resolve their fears or will it send Rapunzel back to her tower?

A short contemporary story with fairy tale flair, “Rapunzel’s Lighthouse” is the fourth book in the Happily Ever After series. Georgie is a recluse with amazing hair, Colby is a kind hearted and charming. Their romance is almost instant; however, the main character’s pasts are only alluded to, not explained, which leaves the reader with many unanswered questions about Georgie’s trauma and the fate of her ex. Her reluctance to trust the townsfolk is also left unexplained. Still, the general premise is cute and the story does have a nice, happy ending. Overall, this is a sweet short tale is a delightful reimagining of Rapunzel.
