Mr. Write (Sundaes for Breakfast #1)

Genre:
Contemporary

Liz Montgomery is used to being seen as "a Montgomery" — an extension of her famous sports family — but rarely as herself. After her engagement ends in disaster, Liz is determined to keep relationships from hurting her again. Grad school, a part time job, and responsibilities helping her brother organize Happy Moments Charity events, keep Liz so busy she has no time for love or dreams, until she bumps into Tyler Lakewood. Unfortunately, as handsome and interesting as Tyler is, he is only in town to work on her brother’s biography, and Liz has no intention of being used for her connections ever again. Tyler sees in Liz something he has always wanted, and he is determined to prove he’s her Mr. Right.  But with Liz overwhelmed by work and shy of relationships, can Tyler get past Liz’s walls and find happily-ever-after or will Liz sacrifice her dreams once more?

A clean contemporary romance, “Mr. Write” is the first in the Sundaes for Breakfast series, although it follows a short story mentioned in this tale. Introducing a crew of roommates chasing dreams and finding love, “Mr. Write” includes a diverse cast of characters, smooth plot, steady pace, and budding romance that builds page by page. However, the story is fairly predictable and lacks any stand out characteristics to make it truly memorable. Still, readers looking for a nice sweet romance that chases dreams, stays clean and screams love, will enjoy “Mr. Write”.
