Loving Logan (Return to Welcome #2)

Genre:
Contemporary

Elle Foster has three rules: don’t date, don't sleep with the boss, and don't believe in happily ever afters. When Elle left Welcome pregnant and broke, the last thing she wanted to do was return years later — still broke, but now with four children. Logan Hughes remembers Elle from their younger years when she was the high schooler with a bad rep. Being adopted, Logan always dreamed of having a big family of his own. Now, as the owner of a budding business, he needs an assistant, while Elle is in need of work. As they work together, will Logan be the one to make Elle break all of her rules? Will Elle be the one woman Logan wants more than his dreams of fatherhood, or will their differences get in the way?

The second in a series, “Loving Logan” is a powerful story that can stand on its own. While romance may be the heart of the novel, there is much more to the tale. Lead by a strong but flawed female lead, it is impossible not to rally behind Elle as she tries to pick up the pieces of her life. It’s a narrative without the flowery prose, instead taking a more realistic approach that hits hard. Miss Edwards is a talented writer, able to draw emotion from the reader with ease. She doesn’t glamorize the ugliness of life making for an intense and sometimes difficult read.  It will have the reader laughing, crying, and blushing with second-hand embarrassment. It can also be stressful and frustrating forcing the reader to step away. That being said, “Loving Logan” is worth every moment.
