Juliet and her five-year-old son Charlie move into the house she inherited from her aunt shortly after a painful divorce.  Her hopes are high for a better life for her and Charlie after the trauma of her marriage.  However, her first meeting with her next-door neighbor doesn’t go too well, when Charlie throws a soccer ball through his greenhouse and she sets their fence on fire.  To her surprise, her neighbor is actually her boss, Dr. Neil Forrest.  Neil has withdrawn from life emotionally and socially since his wife died.  Little does he suspect how easily Juliet and her son will chip away at the ice fortress around his heart.

“Looking for Juliet” is a very enjoyable, short clean romance.  Neil is a dreamy, wonderful hero.   His strength of character and degree of concern for Juliet and Charlie, going above and beyond for them, is sigh worthy. Juliet is a strong and independent woman, dealing with past and present fears and working hard to provide for and protect her son. The interaction between Juliet and Neil reveal their powerful, emotional bond, including Neil’s relationship with Juliet’s son.  Drama from Juliet’s ex-husband’s threatening behavior provides a sharp contrast to how Neil relates to Juliet and Charlie, despite his desire not to fall in love after his wife’s death.  Both Juliet and Neil have to learn not to let their past hold them prisoner, and the author uses the short length to show this in a very satisfying way.
