Tildy McVee has a special gift. It has helped her many times but also makes things confusing — and sometimes scary. When her family moves to Adelaide, Tildy is sure that the move is a positive step. Haunted in her dreams, her mother seems to have a lot of worry. The move is meant to be a good thing, and yet there is something bothering her mother and Tildy cannot figure out what it is. Even with her abilities, she cannot get her head straight enough to figure out exactly what is going on. Will she be able to grasp her abilities and figure out what's going on with her family?

The one great aspect this book has is its characterization. The characters are well thought out, diverse and portrayed excellently throughout the book. The plot is an interesting one and the pace moves evenly. Tildy is an interesting main character, the description of what she goes through jumps off the page straight at the reader. There are a few aspects that "tell" rather than "show", disrupting the flow; however, only in a few places. Amelia Keldan has given readers a great start to what looks to be a very promising series. It will be good to see where this series goes.
