WESTERN:  Katherine Adams has every detail of her escape from her subdued life on Ruby’s Ranch lined out, but she finds herself torn between her dreams and desires when a handsome horse whisperer rides into town. From the first moment he saw Katherine, he was drawn to her but he has ghosts in his past that could ruin his chances at capturing her heart.

This compelling romance draws readers into a heart-tugging world that will capture  their hearts and stir their curiosity.  While the characters grab the reader’s attention, the plot is a bit on the slow side even though the events taking place spans a large amount of time — from Katherine’s childhood to after her children have reached adulthood. Readers may find this to be a bit of a drawback as it leaves a lot of time unaccounted for, a couple of events add more questions and seem a bit unbelievable, and readers may find that some issues are not resolved to their satisfaction. The characters are strong and easily keep readers engaged in their story as it focuses on conflicting issues and readers may find themselves becoming caught up in the overall emotion-filled relationships and situations of this story.
