Monica Montgomery is raising her three kids on her own after her Marine husband was killed in a motorcycle accident. She never expected to find love again and certainly not with the doctor who treats her son after a baseball injury. Dr. Jason Knight is an orthopedic surgeon fresh from the fields of Afghanistan. He is a bachelor, not necessarily looking for love, but when he meets Monica he is immediately smitten. Then he meets all of her children and knows he is in for challenge, especially with her daughter, but he is up for it. As the chemistry between Monica and Jason grows the tension in the Montgomery house escalates as well.  Will they be able to have a happy ending or will everything crash with the “Changing Tides?”

“Changing Tides” is a sweet story of love, family, and overcoming life’s challenges. Tamara Hoffa is a wonderful story teller. The characters are real and readers will feel like they are friends with Monica and Jason before the story is done. There are several places where the editing is distracting but overall the story flows well. An easy afternoon read, “Changing Tides” draws a reader in and won’t let go until the story is complete. Four and a half stars for a novel that heralds love in a most perfect showcase.
