Kane Fielding is a playboy and media darling with a chiseled body, sinful smile and the money from the family business he’s run since his father’s death.  Ellen Hunter is rising to the top of a hotel chain whose flagship is the Rosette in Boston.  With only a little time left on her current visa, she hopes to be transferred to another hotel anywhere, as long as she doesn’t have to return home to England.  She is ready to pitch Fielding Paper for exclusive rights to their conferences, until she sees Kane up close and personal. Her past and her work ethic keep a wall in place, but Kane is determined to get over that wall, until he realizes that his feelings could take his focus away from finding the person who is trying to ruin Fielding Paper.

A magnificent story about overcoming the past and embracing an unknown future to set oneself free.  Kane and Ellen’s love story reveals how important truth and trust are for their relationship. Both characters have distinct differences in how their families affect their lives and how that affects their relationship.  They do not always communicate, keeping things inside instead of telling each other leading to conflicts because of misunderstandings and reading into what’s not said.  The fun angle of solving the crime against Fielding Paper adds a broodiness to Kane and shows how deep his responsibilities go, helping to establish him as more than a playboy.
