The Rebel and the Warrior Queen

The privilege and wonder of keeping one’s ear to the ground–AKA gossip–is picking up buzz and other interesting tidbits to share with my clients and readers. I don’t mean gossip about other industry professionals–although at this point I’m starting to cringe at public scandals du jour–but rather about industry trends and hot topics. One particular trend that stood out to me this past month has been the strong arm tactics by a certain very large bookseller. There’s no point in getting into what the issues were, whether they were resolved, or who was right or wrong. The point I’d like to make pertains to the pride and soul of being an Indie  author: if you go Indie, nothing and no one can stop you from publishing your book.
