Stress, anxiety, contention, strife, turmoil—pick a verb, whatever you want to call it—there isn’t one person on this planet who hasn’t been touched by one of these in the past year. It’s something we all have in common no matter what our views on any given topic. And yet, how we work through those feelings, individually, is as varied as Jelly Belly flavors.BUT—here is where you and I can take great comfort.We, my friends, love books. It’s a unique phenomenon, really. Among the many forms of legal and addictive stimulants, reading takes the cake. No, I’m serious. Not only is it one of the cheapestforms of “addiction”; (with free and $0.99 cent offerings) it’s even cheaper than chocolate or caffeine...and lasts longer, too.While we’re comparing books to a cup of Joe, have you ever had any amount of coffee that could compare to a book so good, you stayed awake and read through the night? And despite the long list your local barista is required to memorize, books come in infinitely more sizes and flavors.
