Author Marketing Experts: A Review

As promised in last month’s article, for the next few months I’ll be your woman on the street. Booyah! Being an avid learner of things, I’ve watched webinars, paid for courses, traveled to conventions, and read thousands of articles. In the coming months, I’ll share and separate, what I feel, is the wheat from the chaff. Why? Because we Indies should be in this thing together. I’m going to put my money where my mouth is and impart what I’ve learned in a spirit of collaboration over competition.
There is more than enough to go around. In fact, one of the greatest common threads of advice among the experts is that no one else can write and tell stories just the way you can. So, let’s see what we can do to get your work out to the readers who are looking for the uniqueness you have to offer.
What’s out there?    
There are a ton of squawking voices out there who claim to be able to help you, but often times they’re speaking to non-fiction authors, general entrepreneurs, or bloggers. Yes, some have elements that can be finagled and tweaked for us fiction authors but separating out those relevant bits can be time-consuming and very expensive. Oh, and I can’t tell you how discouraging it can be to dive into lengthy training only to find that the teacher hasn’t even written a book. Wah-wah-wah.
